She is Marathi and he a Kannadiga. They met in college and fell in love. They started planning the wedding to every small detail, half an year in advance. Thats when I first met Sonia and Vikram. We chatted over coffee and they told me was that they had spread the events and rituals over 4 days. Thats the longest I shot. I was excited. Family and friends from both sides had meticulously choreographed their performances for Sangeet which was the opener of the 4 day’er. This was more than just a dance and song event. I loved the skit there Vikram’s friends and cousins enacted their growing years. Vikram himself sang with Aditya on the guitar.. Lovely. Dance by the lovely couple and then the dance floor was open for total humgama… 🙂
Sonia talked to me about how crazy the haldi ceremony on their side usually is. I couldnt gauge the full depth of what she was saying until I witnessed it first hand. It was a holi with haldi at Vikram’s home. I too wasnt spared and Sonia’s dad made me a part of the celebration :).
The wedding took place at Tamarind Tree. This was my second shoot there. I personally love this place for its ambiance, its antiques, great natural lighting and the beautiful floral decor that they do there.
Reception was the final day. An untimely rain did hamper the fun but all well that “begins” well 🙂 You make a very lovely couple guys. Wish you all the very best..
