Shampa + Vikrant: Pre Wedding

Vikrant and I had planned well in advance about how the day of the shoot should be. But our plan to start at 7:00 am was blown to bits when we just couldnt manage a cab to take us to the location. Finally, a good two hours and several cab cancellations later, we were moving, making our way through Bangalore’sย infamous rush-hour traffic.

It was a good time to know the couple. Thats when Shampa narrated how she first met Vikrant after taking up a new job. Their chats became more frequent and soon they were seeing each other. An year or so later, they decided to break the news so their respective families and ‘surprisingly’ and rather pleasantly the families had no reservations at all ๐Ÿ™‚

We all chatted a good hour or more as we arrived for breakfast at a MTR restaurant – only to find it was their weekly off. That was the second blow of the day. I have been through these sticky situations many times before and always keep some munchies handy. And these, and some that the couple were carrying, were our breakfast that morning ๐Ÿ™‚

We started shooting at about 11:40 at Elements resort. We didnt realize how time flew past as we were getting amazing images and were also having a wonderful time. It was about 4:30 when we packed up there and headed for lunch – more like evening snacks ๐Ÿ™‚ We did finally manage to grab a stomach full of continental food and that was a relief.

We reached our next location Teal Door Cafe well past 7:00pm. I had informed their reception in advance that we were coming to have a couple shoot.

After a quick setup, we started shooting by 7:30 and got more beautiful pictures with a modern backdrop and the romantic feel of the evening.

We wound up about 9:00pm and headed back home to get some much needed rest. Inspite of the initial hiccups and lost time and no food ๐Ÿ™‚ we had made this day completely worth it with all the chitchat, fun and beautiful memories captured on camera.

Many thanks Shampa and Vikrant for your patience with the posing. I know its extra hard to pose on an empty stomach ๐Ÿ™‚ But you guys were wonderful…

Here are some of the images:

I have shot at the Teal Door Cafe before and highly appreciate their willingness to let their premises be used for such shoots. Most other cafes will either just flatly refuse or charge a hefty fee. They let out their roof top hall for shoots. Its a pretty place with nice decor – my only suggestion to the management is to light up the hall nicely. When we visited, there were very few lights.
