<\/p>\nFrom college mates to soul mates is\u00a0the story of Sruthi and Prudhvi. Prudhvi \u00a0and I spoke about the shoot and his idea was an evening shoot which concludes\u00a0with the beautiful reds, oranges and magentas of sun set.<\/p>\n
We met and fixed a date. But little did we know that we are going in for trouble that evening. I checked the weather forecast a couple of days ahead and see this huge swirling blob of white covering southern coast of India. This was Cyclone Nada. And it was to\u00a0hit Bangalore the worst on the day we planned the shoot. The couple\u00a0didnt have any time afterwards as they had to travel for their wedding the following weekend. So I decided to\u00a0go ahead anyway. I did my preparations anticipating what was to come.<\/p>\n
We finally reached the location by about 3:00 pm. The clouds werent as bad as I expected. We quickly started to\u00a0shoot with some basic pics to get the couple comfortable with the camera and my shooting style and posing. The biggest challenge was the ever changing light and I had to constantly adjust the power on my flash to match up.<\/p>\n
Half way in the shoot and in the first costume change, and thick dark clouds began to build.\u00a0It started with a drizzle and soon got\u00a0more intense, interrupting us for about 15 minutes. From there on, it never stopped completely. Though it did give us enough opportunity to shoot and we were indeed getting some great pictures \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Half hour of more shooting and we were almost approaching the end of day. The light was dwindling by the minute and the rain and strong wind had picked up making it quite cold. Biggest difficulty was with my lighting umbrella and Ravi had a tough time keeping it steady on the boom pole. The last 20 minutes were shot in rain and we were almost fully drenched. One of my larger lighting umbrellas was used for the couple as a prop thus keeping them dry for a while \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
We couldnt get the sunset but the pictures were no short of awesome and the couple really loved them. It was well worth the effort.<\/p>\n
