Moumita and Animesh met at a local music event where Animesh used to play guitar and fell in love. They wanted a pre-wedding couple shoot to celebrate their togetherness. We decided and planned everything. I planned to do a short movie along with photographs for them. More of an experiment. We planned to start shooting late morning. On the day of the shoot, things started to go wrong one after the other. First it was an office meeting that Animesh couldnt miss, followed by the cab company that simply cancelled their booking without informing them. With alternative arrangements in place, we reach the location at 4:45pm and to our disappointment, a large rain cloud just blocks the sun completely leaving us with very little ambient light. All in all the outdoors wasnt working for us at all. I worked really fast to get the best of the situation. We did get half a dozen shots before the light almost dropped to zero and we had to return. They were naturally disappointed. I offered to have another shoot at a different location at another time at no extra cost. It wasnt necessary for me to offer them a free shoot. Its times like these when I feel, we as photographers need to do go the extra mile to make our clients happy. We finally wrapped up the shoot couple of months later after they returned from their wedding vacations. It was Lalbagh in the morning and this time it went wonderfully 🙂
